Rogue wanders up to the gates of the lab. Fear embraces her. She can hear shouts and jeers from behind her. Putting her head down- she daren't look behind her- she walks foward, pushing the heavy iron gates open.
They creak as they open, sending more shivers down her spine. Rogue tells herself it is for the best, she has to do this, but something inside is trying to tell her to turn back. Pushing the voice aside, she walks up the driveway, the lab towering infront of her.
'Worthington Institutes' reads the sign above the door. Taking one last glance behind her, she sees Bobby in the crowd staring at her, willing her to turn around, but she shakes her head sadly at him and turns to enter, when something high above, in one of the windows, catches her eye.

He watched her walk up the drive, he had been watching the crowds outside when he notices a lone figure step forward. He reconized her from the Institute, she had a very unique power, and he knew why she would come to the Lab. Warren watched as she neared the doors of the building, he turned and headed back to his large desk, picking up the phone sitting on a corner he phoned down to the front desk and asked for Rogue to be brought up to his office.
He knew why the young girl was here, Worthington labs had come up with a so call “cure” to the mutant gene. It was all his father's idea really, Warren had nothing to do with it, until his father handed the company over to him. Then he had something to do with it all. He reached a hand up to his shoulder and felt the edge of his wings strapped down tightly to his back, they ached to be free, yet he couldn't show anyone in the company his true state. It would be diasterous.
He walked back to the window and looked back down to the crowd outside and waited for Rogue.

Rogue walks through the front doors, looking at the entrance hall, she doesn't notice the woman hurrying accross the room toward her. She barely even hears her directing her up to Mr Worthington's office.
After a few seconds, she turns to the woman, who again, directs her to the office. Rogue smiles weakly at her, and goes toward the elevator. Waiting for it to come down, she takes one last look through the front doors. She can't see Bobby anymore. A small wave of relief washes over her, she would hate to see the look of disappointment on his face. He was, after all, the reason she was doing this.
The 'ding' of the elevator snaps her out of her thoughts, and one again, dread sets in. Every muscle aches. Her stomach twists and ties itself in knots. She pauses in the door, something in her head is telling her to go back, the cure will kill a part of her, the part that makes her Rogue. Pushing the voice out, she takes a deep breath and enters the elevator. As the doors close, she shuts her eyes, mind racing about what could be about to happen...

The elevator only took fifteen seconds to get up to the top floor, once there the doors opened to a small lobby. The entire floor was the executive offices, majority of it being his personal one.
Sara, the lady who met Rogue in the main lobby, and also one of the interns here at the company, lead Rogue down the marbled hallway to the door of his office. "Mr. Worthigton," he called into the room.
Warren looked away from the window to where Sara stood, "Thank you Sara, please shut the door as you leave, that will be all,"
Sara nodded and quickly left, shutting the door behind her. Warren walked to his desk and motioned for Rogue to take a seat if she wanted to, she looked nervous. "Hello Anna, My name is Warren,"

As Rogue stepped out of the elevator, she looked around her. She hadn't even noticed the woman from reception standing infront of her. Staring in amazement at the hallway. She paused for a second and ran a finger along the marble. It was cold to the touch, Rogue wasn't expecting that. She pulled her hand away quickly and followed the woman to a door at the end.
She was so fascinated by what was going on, she momentarily forgot what she was doing here. Hearing a mans voice, her attention suddenly changes to the source. She sees Warren standing there. Smiling weakly, she looks around. The office was huge, Rogue had never seen anything like it. Swallowing hard, she sat at the desk, staring at the man infront of her. She recognised him, he owned this place, but waht did he want with her?
"How... how do you know my name?" She asked quietly. "I havn't gone by that name for 3 years..." Staring at him questioningly, she added. "What do you want with me?"

Warren still stood behind his desk, arms clasped behind his back, “The professor has spoken of you before, and the times I have been at the masnsion I've seen you there,” he frowned, “Though lately its been harder and harder to get there because of all this business surrounding the cure,”. He pulled out his desk chair, removed his jacket, draped it over the back and sat down, “What do I want with you?” he repeated her question aloud, he shrugged, “Nothing really, I suppose the only reason why one of our own would come here would be to receive the treatment.” he leaned forward and rested his arms on his desk, looking to the young girl before him he contiued. “I guess I just wanted to talk to you, see how you feel about this.”. He was talking to her as Warren the fellow mutant, not the business man he pretended to be.

Rogue looked at the floor, unsure what to say.
"Do you even know what my 'gift' is?" She asked, the words barely coming. She shuddered at the word gift, what good could it possibly do. Rogue couldn't bear to look the man in the eye, instead, she stared at the floor by her feet and shuffled them about. Swallowing heavily, she worked up the courage to look at Warren.
"I nearly killed my first boyfriend with my... this..." She says, pulling the gloves off. "I can't touch anyone, if I do they could die. I almost killer Wolverine, I have to do this." She settles back into her chair, tears forming in her eyes.
"Sorry," She says quietly. "I don't know what came over me, I just..." The tears fall freely down her cheeks. "I just want to be normal." She whispers.
